ProWine Hong Kong 2021 will be postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 related restrictions. The new dates of the trade fair will be 7 to 9 September 2021. Originally, ProWine Hong Kong was to take place from 12 to 14 May 2021. The current developments in Covid-19 infections have led Messe Düsseldorf China and Informa Markets, as ProWine Hong Kong organizers, to re-assess the situation.
With entry restrictions and quarantine measures still in place, many overseas wine and spirits professionals are unable to attend the event as scheduled, which greatly disrupt their global sourcing activities. Postponing the show to September can allow more time for the industry to recover and ensure a more dynamic and cosmopolitan event to take place.
“We discussed with the industry and got the support for this decision taken to ensure the safety and interests of our customers and staffs. In striving to secure revised dates in collaboration with Informa Markets, we stay focused on our goal to deliver a great customer experience for the rescheduled events. Also, for the new dates, ProWine Hong Kong 2021 will be held in conjunction with HOFEX the same as previous exhibitions.” said Josh Gu, Project Director of ProWine Hong Kong.
